Can someone give me some advice on my investigation? I'm doing the Potassium Iodine clock reaction, and I need to work out the order of the reaction for the rate law. My teacher suggested I do it the way we do in advanced higher with the initial rates, the only problem is , I don't know how to work the initial rate of the reaction especially since I used absorption spectroscopy. Due to the way the reaction works, there is a time delay before any iodine complexes with the starch and I get an aborption reading which isnt 0. She suggested using rate = 1/t but thats undefined at the start of the reaction. I took readings at certain time intervals if that helps. If someone could really help because I need this finished for Monday!
