    Hi there,

Over the past few months I've really taken a liking to Boxing, but Skipping rope is something I'm only now going to do. I haven't skipped rope in years so if I do this with 1 lb ankle weights, will it do my legs any harm?

    Thanks in advance

I wouldn't have thought it'd cause any damage, go for it.

I personally don't see the point of 1lb ankle weights...why do you want to use them?

1lb is nothing and it would be easier to add weight by skipping with a rucksack with stuff in it. If the rope keeps hitting the rucksack, use a smaller one.

    Hello,
If you ask for loosing weight then skipping might be helpful up to some extent.
