Hi. I understand that the university choice you write down on the student finance application is not too important. However, I am still undecided between a Scottish university and an English university and the two courses have different fees. Which one should I write down as I don't want to be in a situation where my tuition loan does not cover the more expensive course if I choose to go to that one.

    Thanks

Hi! I am in exactly the same situation!

My Welsh uni fees are covered by NHS Bursary, but Leeds uni course isn't. Do I still apply for the fee loan if welsh uni is my first choice?

Hello Glen, If you put down one university on your student finance application and then end up going to a different university, you just need to log on to your account and change these details. As the tuition fee loan is not income assessed, you can just request more or less loan when you know where you are going, there is no risk if you need to ask for more (or less).

The main thing is to make sure you get your application in by the deadline. Changing your course and your tuition fee loan is very similar to changing your address, so this shouldn't be a problem

    Hope this helps.

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
