    Hey all,

I'm posting here to see if any others have seen significant battery drainage since the IOS 6.1.3 update. When I first got my ipad 4 in December, and it had its original IOS, the battery life was beyond incredible. I could use it intensively for days without charging it (and I really do mean a good 2-3 days of solid use). Now, however, I have everything turned off (like icloud etc.), I barely use the thing and the battery drains at about 5x the rate...literally.

I suppose my question is whether I should simply wait for the next update, perform a system reset, so I have the original IOS, or go to an Apple store to see if there is a more individual problem with my ipad?

Have any of you noticed this problem with your ipad since the update? If so, what do you think is the best course of action? Thanks.

I have an Iphone 4 and haven't noticed this. You can just put your phone in DFU mode, connect to Itunes, Download an earlier IPSW, shift + click the restore button, select IPSW. Downgrade will happen.

I have it for the ipad 4. Did you say I can download the previous OS from iTunes? Would I not need to perform a whole system restore to do it?

    ipswdownloader.com

and as far as I know it restores but keeps your data. You can backup your current OS using iTunes

I, along with tons of other people, have experienced the same problem. We have to wait for another apple update, as it isn't possible to downgrade A5/A6 devices.

Happened to me too when iOS5 was released. Most annoying thing ever I know exactly how you feel. I think an update fixed it but it took them months to release it.

I'd take it back, or downgrade
