    Hello world of student room!

I've got an interview coming up for my interview for PGCE Design and Technology within Resistant Materials. I'm very nervous!

My problem is that we have to give a presentation, it only has to be 5-10 minutes long and I don't have a problem with writing the presentation, it's finding the information, backing up facts etc.

My presentation has to be in relation to EITHER an issue in education that interests me (design and technology education or a generic issue) OR a designer/technologist/engineer/who has influenced and interested me(their work, background, ideas, etc).

I have plenty of information on designers and how they work, however I really want to do a presentation on a generic issue, I'm quite interested in doing one in relation to Special Needs Education (SEN) and how teachers can help them make the most of their learning. (This is especially interesting to me due to having a brother with autism). I have read the green paper but I'm looking for more sources and other issues within D&T.

If anyone has any links it would be really useful, or any news etc.

Sorry for rambling! I just wanted to be thorough!

    Thanks!

You have posted three threads on the same topic now, please wait for a response. I've merged all three threads together to stop them cluttering up the forum.
Look in the TES magazine, BBC News, Guardian/Times websites for news and issues in teaching.
