This summer is my last summer before I start my A-Levels.
I'm really hoping to spend it engaging in activities and basically improving my future UCAS personal statement. I'm really interested in psychiatry and would love to get work experience in that field or maybe shadow a doctor? I'm not really sure how to set this up though Anyone here ever shadowed a doctor & can anyone help me set up work experience in this field.
Also I'm interested in volunteering but don't know where to start so if anyone has some suggestions that'd be great.
To be honest I'm open to ANYTHING that will improve my chance at delivering a great personal statement.

For volunteering check out do-it.org - you type in your postcode and the kind of thing you're looking for and loads of stuff usually comes up - you apply via do-it too. A good place might be some where like MIND or a similar mental health charity.

For work experience, you could write / email / call local psychiatric teams etc and simply ask them if they offer work experience - usually you have to be 18+ but there may be someone out there willing to take you on.
