    Hi,
I am applying to go to university i in September/October and need to apply for student finance.
My dad works in England but has worked in Australia within the past 3 years. When I go on the student finance calculator it says 'From the information you have provided, it has not been possible to determine if you are eligible to receive student finance.'
Could somebody please help me as to letting me know if I will be able to get a student loan?
    I'm really panicking!!
Thanks for any help, it will be really appreciated.

Don't worry about it, worrying just makes things worse. Best thing you can do is call someone in the know, e.g. someone at a university, or if you cant do that there should be a way of contacting someone over the phone to see if you can get the finance. Best thing you can do though is keep calm. as someone who I don't know the name of once said - If you worry you die, if you don't worry you die, so why worry? (but hopefully your situation wont involve any dieing :P)
Sorry I cant be of much more help than that, but good luck anyways

Your status as a Home or Overseas student is based on where either you (if working) or your parents have been living. The quick calculator may be just interpreting your answer about your father in this way and just assuming you are an Overseas student (and therefore not eligible for student finance).

Dont panic. Phone Student Finance - 0845 300 50 90 and explain your circumstances and they can tell you if your father's residence is an issue or not.
