You need a first for straight Econ at LSE. UCL and Warwick are only 2:1 requirements but entry is no way guaranteed, it's likely to depend on the PS, reference letters and the transcript. It's not impossible but I would recommend them applying to some lower-tier Russell Groups as well since those are some of the most competitive UK unis for Econ.
