I've been looking at accommodation at University od Stirling, and now I have a question which may sound stupid... Does anyone know why it seems that none of the places of residence have any freezers?

I'm a Stirling first year right now, and most of the halls have large, old fashioned fridges with small lockable compartments for each person to use. Freezers are not considered necessary to live comfortably, and are therefore not provided. You'll find some of the kitchens do have freezers, that have been donated by parents or previous students, but generally there's no freezers. For about £100 you can buy a personal freezer from Argos or somewhere similar to keep in your room if you find you need one desperately, but most of us manage fine without one. If you do buy one of these, make sure you inform your porter beforehand, as you need their permission to have large electricals in your room.
