    Projections for the visibility of tattoos in employment in the future – will attitudes change so that tattoos are fully accepted by all or most employers?

    I doubt it. Probably more excepted than in the past, especially in lower paid jobs like retail waitressing ect you can already kind of see it happening, but there will still be a large proportion of places where its not.

    So you're saying that those with visible tattoos will only be employment in jobs such as jobs that receive minimum wages?

    I think attitudes will change in the future, as tattoos are become more visible and more socially acceptable within certain age groups, but as those ages groups change, more people in the age groups will have tattoos

    I'm a teaching student and in my class most of the future teachers have tattoos, and visible ones at that. I think tattoos are okay but maybe all my "colleagues" who have them (and piercings) should consider hiding them/ taking the piercings out for work.
    If you work with young kids you don't want to send the wrong message. Tattoos/piercings are for adults (mature teens) only.

    there will be a lot of exceptions, there will be whole industries that are exceptions for example. But as a general trend yes.

    maybe these people should of thought about this and the placement a lot better when making such a permanent decision as a tattoo
