Massive game with a lot at stake here, if Newcastle win, they will be safe, but if Sunderland win it blows it all wide open.

Going to be tight, but I reckon Newcastle will edge it 2-1.

Yeah think Newcastle will just scrap it, as a Villa fan I hope so :ninja:

Pardew picked a good lineup today. Nice to see Marveaux earning a start.

Will be amazed if someone isn't sent off.

Mignolet has indeed been superb in the first half. Can Cissé ever have a game where his attempts on goal don't get cleared off the line 2 or 3 times every half? :moon:

I think it will be a Newcastle player. Sunderland have been the better team so far, and can sit back and counter in the 2nd half.

Sunderland were the better team the first 25 minutes. Since then we've dominated.

Don't get why everyone is raving about the Sunderland performances. They didn't have a shot on target against chelsea, and have had only 2 shots so far. What, so because they've got no flair and don't take chances they're a good team? Yeah right.

Hope to god Bardsley gets sent off. Dirty bugger.

Clearly wasn't offside even in real time and Sessengon should have been booked there.

Cissé's goal should have stood. It was a spectacular poacher's goal into the top netting. I know he gets caught offside quite a lot and "scored" 2 offside goals against Benfica, but it's getting a bit ridiculous now.

    Ben Arfa on :teeth:

Yeah that was unlucky. Thought Sessegnon was a bit unlucky in the first half half though when he tackled the last defender and was clean through on goal before being pulled back for a foul, even though it wasn't.

Could have been a handball there

Definitely handball! Shouldn't have his hand out like that in the area.

Good goal but Johnsons face terrifies me!

Di Canio's reaction was so over the top :rofl2:
