    Wrong way round. x = 104.5 and y = 109.5. Not sure if that was a typo, but the extra repulsion from the oxygen lone pairs pushes the H and C atoms closer together to give a smaller C-O-H bond angle.

    What he said

    (Just count - 2 lone pairs, 2 bonding pairs -> bent/v-shaped, 104.5 degrees; 0 lone pairs, 4 bonding pairs -> tetrahedral, 109.5 degrees)
