    • Basically the college i want to attended states on their website,'We require at least BB in Science (Core plus Additional), or B in GCSE Biology. We also prefer B in Maths or English.' On their website it's unclear that you NEED a B in maths or english seeing that it says 'prefer', but through looking on other bits of their site it says 'AS Biology - BB in double science or B in Biology + B in English or Maths', i just recently fount this out, and i've finished maths and english language a few months ago in which i got two C's and i'm currently doing english literature but it will be very hard for me to get a B in it. it's annoying that i've got A in core science and i'm quite confident of get an A in additional science, do you think my college will let me take biology at A level? i need biology so that i can because a physiotherapist

You really need to ask them

It is becoming increasingly the case that colleges and, indeed, universities are asking for B+ in Maths and English at GCSE

I do not know any school local to me that allow students to take A Level sciences without a B+ in Maths

However, they may say it is ok

I would advise you to look at universities that you may be interested in now so that you can decide if you need to retake Maths and English now or in Y12 so that you are not disadvantaged
