    Hi,

Just wondering: What is the difference between chemistry and chemistry with medicinal chemistry?

Medicinal Chemistry focuses a lot more on drugs and how they react within the body. Just a general Chemistry degree focuses on a range of specific topics, such as Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Theoretical Chemistry. That's not to say that you won't come across these in a Medicinal Chemistry degree.
Medicinal Chemistry offers the chance to specialise very early on, which is why I chose to study Medicinal and Biological Chemistry.

Main 3 topics in chemistry are:

    Organic
    Inorganic
and Physical. (none of this analytical crap :P, only a biomed would come out with this)

I can explain these topics more if you would like?
