I'm currently studying English and looking to drop out when I finish my first year this May as I'm just not enjoying my course or uni life at all. I've read a lot of different threads about student finance, but I just need to know exactly what I'm dealing with so I can prepare. Do I pay back my maintenance grant for low income? How much do I have to pay back of my loan and grant in a lump sum? And overall with a rough estimation, how much will I be paying back instantly when I quit? I can deal with monthly repayments, but not sure how much I can afford upfront. Also, anybody who's dropped out after their first year able to offer advice would be beneficial.

    Thanks.
