Will English Language exams in sat in January and May/June have the same grade boundaries?

I know they haven't been released because of what happened last year but just want to know if they'll have exactly the same grade boundaries.

    Thanks

I doubt they'll be exactly the same. No grade boundary for any subject is ever the same (consecutively). My head of English said that if anything, they might go down a bit (she's predicting about 59 for an A*).

I only got 44 marks for the January one so definitely retaking, mucked up on the creative writing tasks

I don't actually remember what they were, I was so ill on the day of the exam so everything I wrote was pretty much a blur :hmmmm2: Well done anyway What have you got on your coursework?

The UMS grade boundaries will be the same as they always are. They are only going to decide the raw to UMS conversion for January and for June after June's papers have been marked but it is highly unlikely they will be exactly the same.

Thanks for your reply, I also wanted to ask if I retook in June and got a lower mark than the January paper, which grade do I get to keep?

    what happened last year?
Ofqual and/or exam boards accused teachers of marking the controlled assessment too highly so they raised grade boundaries.

I got given my UMS but the grades didn't get given. I thought the UMS was the always the same but I wasn't entirely sure, but at least now I know the grade I got.

You get to keep the better of the 2 grades.

If you were given a UMS it was only your school's best guess at what they think the UMS will be. Schools have only been given raw marks and the raw-UMS conversion has not yet been decided.
