We know sinx ranges between -1 & 1. Thus only one of your 2 solutions give values of \theta

I don't get this part, the quadratic formula suggests value not in the ranges for sin theta, then how can we solve it?

If the quadratic suggests values that aren't in the range, then the equation has no solutions. In your case however, you have 2 values for sinx and one of them lies in range. Thus you have solutions for that value, but not for the other.

    \dfrac{2-\sqrt{12}}{4} gives an acceptable value

For 2 + root 12/4 When you try to find Theta you will get Math Error

therefore you write No solution for the answer

so the answer will be arcsin of 2-root12/4 which you get -21.470...

then you find the values between 0 and 360 by the quadrant rule

so the value is negative : sin is negative in 3rd and 4th quadrant

    and you find the values

Thanks everyone, this part is always the problem in my trigonometry studies.

So the arcsin (2-rootof12/4) is the reference angle?
