# D1 Maths HELP! watch

1. I'm sitting the D1 exam this May, it's a resit becuse I got a D the first time (yes, how embarrassing)

Anyway, I'm doing the January 2007 Edexcel paper, and I'm struggling with question 3 and 4. Question 3 says something about the Hamiltonian cycle and to use the planarity algorithm.. I'VE NEVER HEARD THESE WORDS IN MY LIFE!? I tried looking in the index of my textbook, but still no sign. Did they change some topics etc because it's an old exam paper?

Also question 4, I have completely no idea how to do it. It's a three-variable linear programming problem :-( Will someone help me please!?
2. I am also sitting this exam , and your right the hamiltonian question does not include in Edexel D1 book , i believe its been removed in the specification . and the other one is Odd liner programming question which 1st time i have seen it like that but i will look at the mark scheme to see what they want .

It's because it's an old exam paper, the spec has changed.

What exam paper shall I start revising from? Is June 2007 the changed spec too? Because Q1 says 'Explain what is meant by a planar graph'

I'm not too sure, I do know that most specs changed in 2008 but some have changed after that. Use the old past papers, but just do the questions that are within your current spec.
6. Its the 6689 spec you will be sitting.
