I usually like 'em but tonight was getting snacks for the drive back to uni; my plan run in the shop get what I need and out again, fastest way use self service right?
Well tonight it chose to rob 2p from me. I didn't have anymore cash with me and tried to explain to the cashier and he was like well the machine can't be wrong.. I was like mate the think owes me money.
He wouldn't budge! As if someone would really try to get away with not paying 2p! I had quite a few items and could have easily put stuff back.
Told him to get the manager and she was like, I'll check the machine she didn't find it but said it was ok. Why the heck did the guy make such an issue for 2p?

I use them all the time at home, but the only one I know of near me at uni isn't that great. But that's not the reason I don't go there. It's simply that the alternative shop is cheaper

"Please place item in the bagging area"
*puts cabbage in bag*
"Unidentified item in bagging area"
IT'S MY ****ING CABBAGE, WRETCHED MACHINE
"Please wait for assistance"
No, I hate them. I'll happily queue for a human rather than go near one of those infernal things.

Every store should have one they save so much time, especially if you're just running in the store for 1 or 2 items.

I hate these machines. Even when I've put the item in the bagging area after scanning, it still bleeps saying "please wait for assistance"
And then 5 mins later a worker comes, doesn't even check, and puts his passcode in.
What's the point?
