Hi, I've got my needs assessment later this week and was wondering if anyone has been through it and know what support they can offer me?
I have dyslexia and my university have urged me to get technology to help me on my course but i'm not sure what they mean by that.
I have a laptop which isn't that old so I don't need a new one, but it's not that powerful so would they put programmes on it?
What programmes would these be?
Any help would be appreciated!

You may benefit from texthelp read & write which assists by reading text back to you etc, or from dragon voice recognition software to talk your ideas to the computer. Mind mapping software may also help. They are able to get a DSA approved supplier to do a health check on your computer to ensure it will run the software and if not upgrade it.
