Just got a place for to study NHS funded course. Any one aware if I should apply for maintenance loan from SFE while waiting for NHS Bursary services to contact me?, to avoid missing SFE deadline.

    Thanks

I can tell you this: If it's for a Postgraduate MA in Social Work like me which I am starting in Sept 2013 then you won't be eligible for any SFE funding as I have just rang them and checked and they said MA Social Work students are not entitled to any SFE funding other than a disability grant. I don't know about undergrad courses. Like many other's in my position it's fingers crossed to see if we get an NHS Bursary and I just rang them too and they said there is a cap on the bursary's so not everyone will be successful. worrying times, sorry to not bring more happier news, wish I could.

Depends what degree it will be for as mentioned above. I am doing Adult Nursing and I am applying for maintenance loan on SFE but my bursury stuff isn't going to come through until the end of May/start of June.
