Hello everyone and thank you for reading.
I am 30yr old, mother of 2. I'm due to start college this September to do an access course and both GCSE Maths and English.
I have already gained an NVQ level 3 & 4 in health and social care.
I have worked as a support work, team leader and most recently a home manager in a care setting.
My aim is to study Midwifery at Canterbury Uni.
All I keep hearing/reading is that there is 60 applicants to every 1 place. My tutor at college said that if you can only apply to 1 uni, which is all I can apply for, you don't stand much of a chance of getting in.
I am kind of thinking am I just wasting my time. Should I just do something else?
Midwifery would really be a dream for me. Everytime I look into doing something else it just doesn't stir up much enthusiasm.
