    Hey.
    The Franco-German alliance has been the pillarstone in Europe for the last 60 years, but there's no doubt if Hollande doesn't get his act together France is going to be in serious trouble.

    I know traditionally:
    Britain = Liberal
    France = Protectionist
    Germany = Federalist.

    Do you see an Anglo-German co-operation replace the Franco-German treaty? As the three largest economies in the European Union -
    Germany - 3.6trn
    France - 2.7trn
    UK - 2.4trn
    I just think the benefits for each country (UK + Germany) would be massive, I meant we have a flexible workforce and skilled at that.

    I just think that if Hollande (who is in office until 2017) doesn't reverse some of his policies France is going to be the biggest casualty in the Eurozone.. France's collapse would most likely result in the collapse of the entire Eurozone. It's just got me thinking, is all. :beard:

    But will it be for long?

    "France is expected to fall from fifth to ninth, and Italy from eighth to 13th."

    “We are poised to overtake France either in 2013 or 2014 as the economic effects of President Hollande’s 75pc tax policy and the difficulties of the euro drag France down,” CEBR chief executive Douglas McWilliams said.

    The Federal Election in Germany is this autumn.

    Interesting idea but the possibility is highly unlikely.
