Aw thats a shame, how come you don't like it? Have you moved to a different school/college from where you did your GCSE's?

No, it's the sixth form at my school. The thing is, i think i was expecting too much. Year 11 was pretty good, i had (bar 1) decent teachers, and overall i had a good time. This year, out of 8 teachers, 5 are terrible (i mean, really bad) with only 3 others and my form tutor being nice, supportive & able to teach. Also, the year numbers have dropped from 300 to 100, which means that there is waaaaay less people to socialise with. We've got no common room, and we aren't allowed out of school during frees until after Christmas. But all my friends seem to be enjoying it, which makes it worse, because it makes it seem like i can't adjust. Tbh, there isn't a particular reason why i'm not liking it, i think it's just the whole place overall. :s: Oh, and the workload is really high & i'm not coping already. :bawling: Thanks for asking.

Twill take some getting used to lil Bexski. ;yes; I found the first few days a little daunting, but i'm just getting on with it and doing what i should be doing.

The teachers may appear useless now, but it's probably just as hard for them as it is for us. Luckily we do not have to learn everybodys name. Some teachers may just be useless, but it's only been the first week so hopefully things will pick up. :hugs:

After four days I think I can say I've had enough! Five lessons a day with homework being set in every one is just too tiring; I'm always too tired to do the work when I get in so haven't done any.

I hate being tired all the time.

It's still far, far better than year eleven and the rest of school though!

I like the way most lessons are more discusion-based, the more relaxed rules, the smaller classes and the chosen subjects.

Might drop ecnomics just the the free-lesson factor. Urrrh I hate being tired.

I know the feeling!! I'm shattered when i get home, and have a pile of homework to do that's been building up. So far i've just ended falling asleep infront of the tv when i get home. I'm not looking forward to when the work really starts piling up and we have exams!!

Ah well, apart from the tiringness of college i like it!! I like how everyone gets along, people actually want to do the work and the atmosphere is so much better. I didn't like it at first, i felt like a loser with no friends lol, but i know a few people now so its good

Ah well all the hard work will pay off when we get into uni

I'm liking sixth form too. We had a great physics lesson a few days ago, the teacher was hilarious, and it helped 'break the ice'.

Computing is interesting, although we're doing basic programming which I already know, but it'll soon get harder.

S1 is dull as hell, but pretty easy. C1 is quite fun.

I'm liking the change been fun so far.

Loving Physics & Maths, ICT theory is not really ICT theory its more general knowledge which is annoying, my college doesn't offer computing but offers every other course which annoys me .

Music looks REALLY good

I think the same too, S1 is a bore...its all about mode, means, graphs stuff like that. C1 has been good so far mainly cos I like algebra

Exactly the same, every single bit of it. Although I checked where you studied, and we're not in the same class.

Spooky, Glutamic Acid! (the boring part must be a Stats thing in general ) but if you were in my class (if you weren't the annoying kid) you would either be Chinese, Russian, have funny hair or be a girl lol (although the boy with funny hair shares your name - which is even spookier!)

yeah i know hwat you mean bout add maths.
im doing C1 and C2 at the mo and ive done all of c1 before, and some of c2, and some of the other modules. But thankfully now they give you all the formulas that i had to remember before, eg the kinematics ones - not that ive done any of that yet but still.
i'm finding it so much easier than most people in my class and can just relax for now.

I have never done any work in college. I dont get too much hw but im still forgetting to do it. esp chemistry where ive forgotten do do 3 pieces and got 2/30 on one!
