New school year resolutions for sixth form:
1. Laugh at all the younger years who still have to wear uniform
2. Laugh at all the younger years who still have to study English, French, Biology etc. (I'm doing Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chem and History)
3. Not feel too jealous at all the people who DO have free periods (stupid Further Maths...)
4. Enjoy, laugh, smile etc.

Just 4 more days of holiday for me! I can't wait!! Sixth form's gonna be amazing...

Would having a weekend job and studying for a-levels be managable?

And has anybody got a job/planning on getting a job & is going to do A levels?

I've got a job working late thursdays 6-9, and Sundays 11-5.

The thursday I can stay at school and work till I have to go to work, so I should be fine there, and Sunday's only one day of the ewekend.

I've spoken to some of my colleagues at work, and they all agree that working at the same time as studying for A levels is easy and shouldn't pose a problem

They suggested that I book holiday during the exam period though, so I can concentrate fully on exams...

several people that have just left sixth form or are going into year 13 have/had a weekend job during sixth form. although it took up their time they said they didnt struggle much more with school and academic work. i really want to but it depends when i can stop being lazy and get off my arse and get a job :p:

^^^ above two posters. lol yeah, i've got a weekend job which i've only had for a short amount of time. But, i don't want it to get in the way of A-levels. Yeah, i suppose lots of people have had jobs... i'm going to keep mine, but was just seeing other peoples views on it.

Are you working both Saturday AND Sunday though?

Because that is quite a lot, not only will you have little spare time to do school work, but you won't have a day to just rest and relax. A couple of my mates said they couldn't handle it, doing 7 days a week without a day to just let loose and relax!
