A little bit of a poorly phrased title there so I apologize in advance.

What I am looking for are some sources I can quote that point towards there being differences in the way people would link together certain images.

For example, if 3 pictures were shown of a bee, a dragonfly and a flower in bloom; Would certain cultures be more inclined to group together the bee and flower as they link together in that they work together or would some people from certain cultures be more inclined to combine the bee and dragonfly for their physiological similarities.

Thanks if anyone has any ideas about this!
