Best Unconvential Personal Statement

I'm looking for some personal statements which have broken the mold yet still functioned equally as well as; if not better than it's more conventional counterparts.

By unconventional I mean one which the admissions tutor would really be grabbed by, one which would stand out the most from the rest of the pile.

Science examples are preferable but entries from other subjects are more than welcome.

My friend applied to cambridge and his opening line of his statement was a witty joke.
He got an interview but not an offer, however he got in bath, warwick south hampton and another good uni.
