Hello I am from England and currently studying a btec level 3 which if I get a distinction, distinction, distinction it is equivalent to 3 a's at a levels, I am aware that I have to take my SATs if I wan't to go to an American College(university) but will American Colleges accept btec students who do well in their SATs and also I am in my first year of college in England and I want to move to America next year so is it possible for me to go to an American College with only GCSE's and a good mark in the SATs. thank you for helping.

    Hello!
So as an American who is coming to Study in the UK, I can totally sympathize the confusion and uncertainty that comes with the grade transfer across the pond. For an Undergraduate it is true that your SAT score does define a bit of what schools you can get in to, especially if you are studying abroad and don't have "regular" transcripts. However all is not lost! US universities are flooded with students who have good grades and great scores on their applications. So even American students are taught to diversify, what I mean is make yourself a vital component to the diversification of a university's student population. You already have a foot in the door with the fact that you are an international student, but make sure your extra-curricular activities are strong and wide spread. Model UN? Student Government? Sports? Or anything else, try to include in your personal info/statement. It may be the difference that tips the scale in your favor ( and in some cases overcomes a bad SAT).
    Good luck!!
