hey i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips or advise for my question.

Im currently at university studying a degree in Exercise and sport science but hope to do a masters in physiotherapy. ive been told that it is a very competitive market and that relevant work experience is crucial.

Does anyone know any contacts as its really difficult to find physio work experience.
or give me tips on how to gain work experience im starting to apply and write letters of application to the work place but not sure of how to go about it.

    thanks

A great place to get Physio experience is at a semi-pro football club.

I watch a lot of football at that level and many of the clubs don't have a proper physio and one of the assistant coaches comes on and treats an injured player. We've got a young female physio at our club and I know she's works with our squad at training sessions too and has made a real difference to the performance of the team.

A lot of clubs would benefit massively from having a physio and would be happy to take you on. I guess it would look pretty good on your CV to say you were Canterbury City FC (or whoever)'s official first team Physio.

If you're in the Kent/SE London area I could probably give you some contacts.
