Long story short i have picked my firm and insurance on a wim, i got declined by the two universities i wanted to go to and felt i had to pick my insurance and firm or nothing.

Now im really unhappy and the cooling off period has being and gone. Ive being told recently that my local university do the course that i want to do, and ive looked on ucas extra and its available.

What id want to do is get released from my firm + insur and get onto ucas extra.

People have said i can, some have said i cant but this is what another thread says 'ee this extract from the UCAS FAQ: If you accepted the offer more than 7 days ago, you can only decline the offer with permission from the relevant university. You'll need to contact us first to confirm this is what you'd like to do. You'll then need to contact the universities you have accepted offers with, ask them if you can decline the offer, and ask the university to call us to confirm they are happy for these changes to be made. We can then decline your offers with their permission. Once all offers are declined and if Extra is still available, you can apply to another choice.

    Any help appreciated thanks!!!!

You need to check with the local uni that the course is available - don't just rely on the Extra listing. It could be out of date, or they do have spaces but only for international applicants or people with a certain skillset or something.

Once you've checked they'll consider you, ask the current uni to reject you and contact UCAS.
