Whats the difference between a "Marketing" course and a "Marketing Management"course?

What's the difference between a degree in "Marketing" and degree in "Marketing Management"?

Sometimes candidates have to pick between different marketing courses. Some universities even have other names such as "global marketing" "strategic marketing" "international marketing management"

Does the marketing management course have both management studies as well as marketing? Or is it a different subject all together? How do the respective courses effect a student's career? What do employers prefer? Is it better to specialize in in a subject such as "Marketing and Advertisement"? Or is it good to take just plain "Msc. Marketing". Which course prepares you for a higher position?

More specifically, which is the best option for someone who wants study marketing, get professional experience with the same, but ultimately go into starting their own business?
