I admit I have not ran regularly for a while but I am trying to get back into a more regular routine. However, now I am suffering from foot/ankle ache during runs which I have never experienced before. It is really hampering my ability to actually get back into things properly.
I think it may be my shoes. I haven't replaced them ever since I started running. They are a few of years old now. Might I need new shoes? Could this be the cause of my aches? I want to consult the brilliant and probably more experienced minds of this forum before I commit money and time to purchasing new shoes.
To clarify, I am not experiencing aches after the running. Only during.
