So my friend has failed two of her modules due to personal problems and she went to have a talk with the tutor regarding resits,I accompanied her.Anyway, the tutor asked her "don't get me wrong but do you want to fail the course? some students attend uni and want to fail the course , I've even had students tell me this themselves"

This really shocked me, why would any student in their right mind spend money on their education only to want to fail??I just don't get it? Perhaps they want an excuse to get away from their parents.

Some of them just want the big piss up student lifestyle.

So what if Jesus turned water into wine...I turned a whole student loan into vodka once. Your move Jesus...

Could be a lot of things, dropout and failure is quite well studied.

Ime tutors aren't necessarily very good at understanding what students with problems are telling them because the tutors are generally academic success stories who enjoyed their undergrad and didn't have any meltdowns.

If you are failing, you might as well quit and work at Tesco.

You never know, you might climb up the heirachy and become a senior till supervisor assistant helper.
