If you bought them you just reinstall with the serial you got.

software programs sometimes only allow a certain number of licenses so it checks if it was installed and operating on another computer... though if someone stopped the computer from communicating with the update server such as turning off auto-updates, it would be impossible for a company to check how many times the license is in use as it would only see the ones that have the updates turned on.

Though this is just speculation and I am just explaining my understanding of the programs and I am not advising someone do that, I am purely mentioning this for education reasons.

For example, I bought office online like 2 years ago, so probably won't be able to find the email including the serial number.

    any other solution?

Well, there is the "other" way of doing it but that's not recommended nor legal.

I'm sure there is a way you can find out a serial number from Office if you don't know it.

    Try that maybe?
