I had obtained a degree in 2009, however i now feel that i made a mistake doing that degree and it has been of no use to me since. i have decided on a different career however i need a degree to do this. i took out a student loan the first time, is there a way i can get a student finance loan again for this second degree as i cannot afford it and i dont want to be doing a admin role for the rest of my life!

    Hi Shen,

This will really depend on what you're planning to study as we can only supply funding for a limited number of exception courses as second degree.

NHS courses will have their fees paid by the NHS and they will also award a non repayable bursary. SFE can provide a reduced rate maintenance loan for NHS courses as second degrees.

We can also provide funding for a postgraduate PGCE as well as some funding Medicine and Social Work taken as second degrees too.

    Hope this helps,
    Mark-Lee
