grade B maths question help pls?

ok its to do with algebra - graphing inequalities

it says: with x and y values from 0 - 5, graph the inequality:
4y >or equal to 5x - 1

is someone able to explain how to draw the resulting line please :confused:?

thanks in advance

I hope I understood the question correctly...
You could draw a box on the coordinate plane with verticies (0,0) (5,0) (0,5) (5,5) and then draw the line y= (5x-1)/4. Then you shade the appropriate area (which is bounded by the box).
thanks for reply, but im still having trouble being able to draw the actual line :s

y= (5/4)x-1/4
this is our equation. Try to pick two nice x values (they can even be outside the box, it doesn't matter) and simply connect them. Try 4, for example.

Actually 1 and 0 work better
Have you done it yet? If you haven't I can help you :smile:
