    Hi,

I hold an undergraduate degree and a masters degree. For the undergraduate degree I received a student loan which I am currently paying back.

I have accepted a place on an NHS funded nursing undergraduate degree and I am unsure if I am able to apply for a second student loan. I am aware that I am able to apply for the NHS bursary and that the course fees are paid for by the NHS, however would like to find out if I can apply for a second student maintenance loan alongside this if I still have one outstanding from my previous degree?

    Thanks

    Hi g242,

Yes you will be entitled to a student a reduced rate maintenance loan as NHS courses are classed as exceptional to the usual previous funding rules.

    Hope this helps,
    Mark-Lee
