She's into chanel & has the whole lot..
She's on a diet & won't touch the chocs..
She's into classic and peaceful music unless me (Rock)

tuna, can't go wrong with tuna.
How about a picture frame with a whole collection of family photos inside, like a collage type effect.

rather than buying her something why dont you just take her out to the cinema or spend some time with her, i'm sure she'll apprciate that more than something that she doesn't really want or need.

Steer clear of porn and extreme violence
ahaaaaaaa, she'd think i've bought it 4 myself
Any that's recent, she hasn't seen and would like. Or one of those collections of 'classic' films or something.

Plants make good presents - they don't wilt away like flowers and some may grow happily in your garden/on a windowsill for years. My sis and me always get dragged around garden centres on Mother's Day so our mum can pick out what ones she would like - although this year the trip is postponed till Easter when we get back from uni.

Uni students - have you posted your card yet? Leaving it till Friday is cutting it fine with the state of the post!
