SO...I thought we would all write down all the essay titles we can think ofthat are inspired by song titles:p:

1. Love's the funeral of hearts..discuss the effect of the particular gothic ideal in victorian literature

2. Mary's In India...account for the results of British Colonisation

3. Every Breath You Take..How does pollution affect everyday life?

4. Gone with the Sin. Unruly Christians in the post-modern period. Discuss

5. You can leave your hat on. The eradication of gentleman manners in modern society

6. Behind These Hazel Eyes. Eye neurology and functions

7. Since You've been gone. Account for the changes that have occured in post-Sadam Iraq

8. Papa Don't Preach. "The number of Catholic believers has decreased in the last decade". Discuss

9. This Used to Be my Playground [Madonna]. Account for the current political relationships between U.S.A and Africa.

10. diamond's are a girl's best friend. Traditional views of women in the 50's

Not a song, but my latest essay is on Aeneid 8, and is called "'The future's bright, the future's Roman'. Do we appreciate Book 8 fully if we read it as purely panegyric?"

"My Generation": When, if ever, was there a discernable youth culture in Britain?

To which I quoted The Who in the introduction, and added in a few other lyrics throughout. I managed to get 6 or 7 in the essay, which was quite fun.

We Didn't Start the Fire- Pretty much what the song is actually, show that "modern" threats such as terrorism are not new, but have been spawned by events of the past.
