    Applying for student finance and it asks for my parents income for 11/12, my mum is starting a new job in a few weeks just wondering if I should just fill it out as normal?

    It's based on the 11/12 tax year, so fill it out by that.

    If, after your mum starts her new job, her income changes by 15% then you can submit a current year assessment form.

    Your loan will be reassessed on her new income.

    If you don't tell them about the change in circumstances, in two years time when you're in year 3, your finance will be assessed on this current year, and when she sends in her evidence, they'll find out you didn't notify them sooner. If her new income means you get less money, anything you have been overpaid will be taken out of your funding for that year, meaning you'll have even less.

    So do I submit the form after I've initially applied or is the form on the application I'm confused
