From the Daily Post:
A UNION representing more than seven million UK students could be dealt a significant blow today if learners at Wales’ leading university vote to sever ties.
Cardiff University Students’ Union is holding a referendum on its future affiliation with the National Union of Students (NUS), which serves more than 300,000 students in Wales.
Voting opens today and a successful No campaign would see Cardiff’s SU break free from the overarching body and go it alone.
Currently, Cardiff’s SU pays NUS around £51,000 a year for its services, which cover national campaigns and legal advice.
Just wondering what people think about their uni being affiliated to the NUS. Would you be happy to see your uni break off from it?
What should I do?
