Changing uni and go finance

Hi I am in my first year of study at a uni however I want to change to another uni this year. It looks like I would have to study from year 1 as there is quite a bit if difference in degrees. It's a four year degree. If I applied would I still get finance for the full 4 years even though I have already had it this year?
Also I want to apply for finance as a mature student as I would be starting uni at 21 however if I applied for finance I wouldn't be 21 until June. Would I be counted as a mature student from time of application or from time of start of study.

Hi Rhys,

Every student is entitled to 1 extra year of funding over the length of their course so based on the info you've provided you should be entitled to funding for the full degree.

For the purposes of student finance mature students are 25 years or over.
