# Normal distribution Q12 Watch

1. I have no idea how to answer any of this.

for the part "find the probability that a randomly chosen can contains less than the nominal volume"

I tried:

p(x<0.450)
z= (0.45-0.457)/sqrt(0.004)=0.1101

p(z<-0.1101)
which is also p(z>0.1101)
so 1- (0.1101 answer from tables)

????

In the bit above, the square root should not be there (there's no need to take the square root - you're given the standard deviation, not the variance).
3. thanks, I worked out the first part as 0.0401
4. for the part:"the least value of mean which will comply to the law when SD=0.004"

what do I do after this step?:
P(x<(0.45-mean)/0.004) =0.01
