Basically, I want to find some music which I can solo too. The simplest kind of soloing you could imagine. I did this with my guitar teacher today. I play a few notes and she played something. Sounded good so I would like to try it at home

I sort of play guitar (hoping to get some lessons soon and get better) and I was listening to Fools Gold by The Stone Roses and I thought it'd be a great song to jam to, pretty long day.

    Great jam song I think.

If you learn the A, D, and E pentatonic scales, and type 'blues guitar jam in A' into youtube, that should be plenty to keep you going for a month or so

Try sunshine of your love. I'm a bassist myself but my friend learned to improv solos entirely from that song. xD
