Hello, I am currently doing the AQA A2 The Making of Modern Britain unit and unfortunately due to the shortcomings of my teacher I have very little idea about my exam.

So, please, please please could a teacher or a high grade student talk me through it in as much detail as possible, or provide an example of a model answer with reasons for why it is so?

I have many, many questions! For example, how should one utilise the opinions of historians? Should they be quoted, merely mentioned by name and when is appropriate to do so?

How much detail must your answers/points be in? How long should one spend planning and writing each answer and so on and so forth.

    Please help me!

    Hey,

I am also taking this examination in June. It is worth 60% of the A2 grade.

You need to study the period of 1951-2007. You need to be able to comment on the political successes/failures, economic successes/failures and social successes/failures encountered by Churchill right through to Blair.

Refer to the AQA website for more information with the course code being HISM3.

    Hope this helps.

Go onto getrevising.com and there are several documents with summaries of each Prime Minister.
