Hello, I'm new here to TSR, this is my first post, so here it goes. I'm 18 years old, currently doing a creative media production course in college (level 2). After I finish it, I'm going to do BTEC ICT level 3 after summer. I'd like to know would I get accepted in to universities with a level 3 btec ICT at D*D*D* (I'm not dong the level 3 course yet, but say if I got those grades, would I get accepted into some universities) I have English and maths, but not C grade. I plan on re-sitting English next year, and I will work my a-ss off to get a grade C or above. I have a btec level 2 in ict, equivalent to 2 gcse's and currently doing a creative media production level 2 course, which will I will get 6 different qualifications, so basically what I'm trying to ask you is would I get accepted into uni, if I get a D*D*D* in ict level 3, and also with my level 2 ict btec (I have two pass grades) and level 2 btec creative media, which I'm predicted a merit in, so that is equivalent to 4 gcse's at B grade I believe. So I'd like to know if universities would accept a student if they got the top grades in a subject even though if they require you to have DDM, but If I have D*D*D* even without maths and English. I'm not a thick person, I can only blame myself for not doing well in my GCSE's, but as I said, English will be re-sat next year by me.

As long as you have a good personal statement and you meet those grades then i'm sure you'll find a university where you can do your course of choice.

Start having a look around at some universities which you may be interested in. Some do require maths and english at grade C, but some don't, so you may just want to do some research and check those out.

I got into uni this year, I have all c grades in GCSE. I did a BTEC national diploma in public services and only got MMP. Which isn't great and I should of have worked harder. As I could of done a lot better but I wasn't aiming for uni at time. I got on a three year degree doing sport and physical education. As I now want to pursue becoming a physical education teacher.

You almost certainly will get a university place somewhere, but you will find the absence of English and Maths GCSE grade C a severe hindrance in life and you should aim to get them.
