    Hi there,

I'm just wondering if it is wise for me to enroll on an English literature and creative writing degree course - with a correspondence diploma in horticulture level 3, and a an edexcel subsidiary level 3 diploma in horticulture. I have applied for an access course, but don't think I would get funding to do it - so I was just wondering if doing this degree would be a struggle?

Look at doing a straightforward English Lit degree (with writing units within it) rather than a named Creative Writing course, which always sounds a bit Mickey Mouse.

One way to get funding is to do a Foundation Year ahead of the three year degree (you get funding for all 4 years). Uni of Hull as just one example http://www2.hull.ac.uk/ug/2014-courses/english-f.aspx For this Foundation course you dont need any obvious prior qualifications.
