This is a bit long winded..
On the regression analysis you work out the equation of the line.. then they might ask to plot 3 points on a scatter diagram which should go through the line, right. I know that one set of points is the mean of X and the mean of Y, then i'm not sure where I get the other 2 coordinates from. Do you just choose random values of X (within reson) then bung them into the equation to get Y? or are we suppost to choose specific points? :s

I think I know what you are on about.

I'm sure this was in one of the past papers, the one with the scatter-graph.

I think you just chose random values of x which will fit in the boundaries of the graph.

If this is the question I was thinking of, I think it's only an extra mark out of about 6 that you will gain by doing this.
