I was hoping to get a fuller response to you by now, as I've actually put this question to some of my student ambassadors who study Medicine, not had many responses yet (I'm assuming they're all working hard in the library as we come up to exam time!). I'll keep asking over the weekend, and try and get some differing views for you next week
The things that stand out to me about our Medicine course, are the integrated nature of our teaching. Right from year one you're engaged with clinical placements, to give you "hands on" experience right from your first year. You can download the course brochure to find out more about the structure of the programme on pages 12 and 13.
The other thing that Leeds can offer you, is the huge number of extra-curricular opportunities. In addition to the societies and sports clubs that all students can join, the Medical Students Representative Council offer lots of opportunities for you to either socialise, take part in sport, play instruments or undertake charity work with other medics. Take a look at their website for more info: http://msrcleeds.co.uk/
