I'm firmed for it next year, the reason I chose this over other course is the staff. They are all leading researchers in the fields they teach, they are so passionate and the course is kept so current - the modules are updated and the focus on new media is amazing. The methods of teaching are so innovative and by using a range of mediums to assess you rather than exams there is something for everyone.

I had to apply in a slightly out of the ordinary way due to personal circumstances and I couldn't have asked for more support from the staff in the media and film department to do this - even before I had sent off my ucas form they took the time out on several occasions to meet with me and support my application, for me this was such a good first impression of the individual support I will be able to get throughout my degree.

The course itself is more theoretical than a lot of media communications courses at other universities - for me this was the deciding factor - its what I was looking for - but I think you should look carefully at the course and module outline and compare it to other courses. My sister is also applying for media communications but at Sussex and whilst our courses have the same name, I think the content is completely different, but we have each picked one that focused on our individual interests!

Ahhh sorry for the essay, I'm pretty happy about my choice to go here and a bit excited!
